The hammer stall is a hand-sewn sheath that fits snugly over the frizzen to prevent a spark from being struck should the hammer (cock) fall accidentally. A thong is attached to it and tied to the trigger guard to prevent its loss. Ours are made from heavy tooled leather and are designed to fit the frizzen of most rifles having a frizzen of 3/4" wide or smaller.
