This sword was standard issue to soldiers of the 1730 period who were in garrison at the Fortress of Louisbourg, Nova Scotia. It was made on the lines of the Officer's and Gentleman's Small Sword of that period and it is quite suitable for Revolutionary War Officer use. See Neumann's "Swords & Blades", page 138, 230, S. This sword has solid brass mounts and comes with a red leather-covered wooden scabbard.
