Tompions: [#306] These are hand-turned from different types of hardwoods and are
available in both .69 and .75 calibers. They are turned slightly oversized. You may have
to use a fine, flat file so they just fit. BE SURE TO SPECIFY CALIBER.
Flash Guard: [#8] Fits under the frizzen screw which holds it snugly agains the flash
pan. Diverts the flash upwards and prevents flash from hitting the cheek of the fellow
firing next to you. Simple to install - remove frizzen screw, put guard in place; no wood
or metal to remove. These will fit most reproduction muskets including the Brown Bess and
Charleville.
Hammer Stall (frizzen cover). A hand-sewn sheath that fits snugly over the frizzen to prevent a
spark from being struck should the hammer (cock) fall accidentally. A thong is attached to
it and tied to the trigger guard to prevent its loss. Mine are made from heavy tooled
leather. #117S is designed to fit the frizzen of most rifles having a frizzen of 3/4"
wide or smaller.
