Featuring a varied array of both Formal and Informal styles for a woman's re-enacting activities.  Whether you are looking for the practicality of a plain cap, something with a difference for daytime wear, a regional specialty (if you're from Pennsylvania!) or trying to find that Finishing Touch for your formal gown for the Regimental ball, you're sure to find something to please in our selection below!

Basic Cap: This is done in classic white, with the front band approx. 3" wide and 18" from ear  ear.  The full crown has top gathers and an adjustable neck edge. A small comb in the center front keeps the cap secure.

Mob Cap: A full, gathered Day cap to keep the hair confined and free from dust and dirt while working or cooking.Adjustable by ribbon gathering-string.

Laced Coif: This has a smooth fitted front band, edged with lace, and an adjustable, gathered back.  A small comb in the center front keeps the cap secure.Fully washable.

York Cap:  The original of this cap is in a collection in York, PA. This style features a band with "cheek points" and a face-framing ruffle, and an adjustable, gathered back.  Fully washable.  Made in white cotton

Joan Cap:  Also known as a "Quaker" cap.This style features a plain band,ruffled edging and back neckline "apron". the ribbon was traditionally black, but we can provide your color choice.  Fully washable. Made in white cotton.

Oval Pinner:  Used for both formal and informal dress, the Pinner was a small, flat cap perched (in fact, pinned with hairpins) to the top of a lady's hairstyle to complete "the look". Our Pinner is done in cotton, with lace eding, and long lace lappets down the back. Small combs keep the cap firmly on milady's hair.  White only.

Williamsburg Cap:  The original of our design, in the collection of Colonial Williamsburg, is done in fine Brussels lace.
We offer this formal style headdress of ruffled and flowing lace for all those ladies who wish to truly be the most fashionable! Small combs keep the cap firmly on milady's hair.

Ladies Felt Hat: A very typical style lady’s hat in the 18th century. Ours has a 5" brim and a 1 1/4" crown. Currently available in a medium gray-brown color and black. Each shipment will be in a different color so we will have some variety as time progresses.  (White cap not included.)  No trim or adornment is included-please inquire for decoration options by our seamstress.

Ladies Calash: Fashionable women from Boston to Virginia needed the proper headwear to keep their hairstyles in place when venturing outdoors, and the Calash was the solution!  Adapted from an original green silk Calash at Stenton Mansion in Philadelphia, our version is made in cotton fabric and willow canes (as were in 18th century ones) to hold the shape,The Calash has a shoulder-capelet, and ties in a bow in front. Please state color choice.
