Playing Cards: [#189] Printed on old-looking paper in colour, the cards have no numbers
and are wrapped and "sealed." A very interesting and authentic item for
"living history" exhibits.
Pewter Dice:
Colonial sodliers were known to hammer their
musket balls into crude dice for playing games suxh as Hazard, a favorite tavern game at
the time of the American Revolution. These dice are cast of lead-free pewter to
resemble closely in size and weight the soldiers' handmade lead dice. Each package
contains three dice.
Wood Dice:
Dice were a common item on household
inventories in early America. Many boardgames called for a pair of dice for play.
Each package contains three wood dice.
Bone Dominoes:
[#528] Hand made from bone and come with a
wooden box with a sliding cover. Copied from originals in St. Augustine Florida; dominoes
date back to the time of the Roman Empire.
Game of the Goose & Game of the Snake: These board games
are printed on heavy laid paper. The instructions are written directly on the board so
there's never any confusion! Both games have a stop and drink space so we don't recommend
them for children. Game pieces are not included. |
